a mother and two children. it happened on crest view drive in pittsburgh. alex savage is there to tell us about the discovery which could lead to an arrest, alex? >> reporter: investigators were able to find the car they believed was involved in the crash but the driver is nowhere to be found. a mother and two children were making their way across and came here to crest view drive and they were in this crosswalk when the car ploughed into them. it is unclear how fast the driver was going but neighbors say cars are always speeding around here. this was the scene after the crash around 6:00 last night and one of those children was airlifted by paramedics to a nearby hospital. another small child was put into an ambulance and driven to the hospital. the woman was also taken to the hospital by ambulance but we do not have information about their specific injuries. now the car that hit the woman and two kids drove off after the accident and police found it abandoned just up the road but the driver is still on the loose this morning. neighbors are not surprised by this crash. one neighbor said

4's reggie kumar shows us what that suspect may look like. >> reporter: this woman yelled of the suspect to stop breaking into the car. investigators say that he managed to gain access through a front window. and repeatedly punched the woman in the face. police say the woman and a daughter managed to escape the home and that a suspect in a second to a male suspect chased the man down the street. the same person that was insulted her in her home continued to assault her in the street and put a gun to our head and even the threatened to kill her. they called police. the suspect returned to the home and ransacked it appeared the victim was taken to hospital where she was treated fo a broken nose. this suspect is described as a hispanic male. 5 ft. 11 in., light complexion, with dark clothing. the victim's daughter was not injured. reggie kumar, kron 4. >> pam: for more than four decades. the 49ers have played at candlestick point in san francisco. but next season will be the teams last at the stick. the city has announced plans to demolish the stadium after the team moves sou

will join us live to talk about that. >>> and then why is al weathering the elements in this new psa? he will explain. >>> nuclear test overnight from a defiant north korea. nbc's jim miklaszewski is at the pentagon this morning. mick, what can you tell us? >> nobody was surprised by the test itself. they knew it was coming. no one knew the exact timing. this one, in fact, has set off alarm bells. early readings are that this nuclear device that was tested may be three to six times more powerful than any previous nuclear test by the north koreans. the north koreans also claim that they did it with a much smaller device, perhaps meaning that they have made progress in miniaturizing nuclear weapons that could be put on the top of ballistic missiles that could ultimately threaten the united states. nobody is confirming that yet but it's got everybody's attention. now today's test drew a rapid and strong response from the white house. the president condemned the blast, saying it threatens u.s. security and that the danger posed by north korea's threatening activities warrants further, swift

clifford has been in fairfield all day. he joins us live tonight with the very latest. the girl, who's described as a teenager, was reported missing by a guardian thursday afternoon when she didn't come home from school. the suisun city police department spent thursday eveing and friday morning searching for her. around 6:45 friday morning, an officer with the fairfield police department discovered her body lying naked in a parking lot here at allan witt park. fairfield police blocked off a large section of the park and spent most of the day searching the area. they also contacted suisun city police who were able to identify girl as their as of friday evening the girls name and exact age had not been released, pending notification of next of kin. the fairfield police department is now leading are treating this as homicide case. kicked team coverage continues now with kron-4's alecia reid. who got reaction from nearby residents. only on kron 4. new details about the suspect in the 1984 san francisco disappearance of kevin collins. we have exclusively uncovered the man's picture. and d

fletcher. >> and i'm anny hong, thanks for joining us this morning. it was a tough game to watch. >> it was a nail biter all the way to the end. >>all things niners"" this morning. as we head down to the super dome. ravens started off the first half of the game with three touchdown passes from quarterback joe flacco to open the game with a 21 to six lead over the niners. a second half power outage in the superdome lasted for 35 minutes. the niners trailing 28 to six when the power went out. but the niners came back to life with 17 points over a four minute stretch in the third quarter. bringing the score to 28- 23 ravens. after then baltimore took a 31 to 23 lead. the niners scored a touchdown to cut it to 31-29. with a failed two-point-conversion. baltimore then added a late field goal and then in the final seconds took an intentional safety to make the final margin 34 31, ravens. niners coach jim harbaugh had this to say after the game. niners quarteback colin kaepernick in a somber mood answering questions after the ravens defeated the 49ers in super bowl 47. 34 to 31 in last
bunker is dead. this is animation.giving us an idea of what that underground bunker looked like. just a short time ago, f-b- i officials announcing they stormed the underground bunker.rescuing the boy. it's not clear if the kidnapper, 65-year-old jimmy dykes was shot by authorities or if he took his own life. officials say negotiations with dykes recently deteriorated and they believed the boy was in immediate danger. this ends a 7-day stand- off, after dykes boarded a school bus, shot and killed the driver, before taking the 5-year-old boy hostage. that bunker was up a dirt road on dykes' property.the child was receiving medicine, food, even toys through p-v-c ventilation piping. this was in south eastern alabama in rural midland city. about 80 miles from the capital of montgomery. details of the rescue operation are still emerging.and we'll keep you posted. >> pam: only on four -- we have just tracked down new information on the prime suspect. in the kidnapping of kevin collins. the san francisco abduction made national headlines in 19-84. just hours ago, kron4's maureen kelly spoke
